How the midnight delay works with folders

Why there is a delay in data visibility and how it works

Updated this week

Whether you're tracking your time to submit a time sheet to your employer at the end of the week, interested in gaining insights on how your time is spent and how you can maximize your productivity, or anything in between, we created EARLY to be the best possible solution for your time-tracking needs.

With the introduction of shared folders anyone with Full access now has the ability to view the time entry data of shared folder members in the Insights area of EARLY.

EARLY takes privacy seriously and because of this we've also introduced a delay with regard to the data that full access members are able to view. They will be able to see all time entries created up until midnight in the time entry creator's time zone.

In the example below we see a screenshot of a user named Amanda Richards' Calendar. Amanda is a member of a folder which is named "Client A".

Amanda has tracked 3 time entries using the "Meetings" activity. (1) Monday, March 17th, (2) Tuesday, March 18th, and (3) Wednesday, March 19th.

Because there is a midnight delay in the data that a full access member can view in the Insights area of the app, we can see in the screenshot below that even though they have the "Time span" filter set to March 16-22 (1) and they are performing this search today (Wednesday, March 19th in this case) they can only see the time entries that Amanda created on Monday the 17th and Tuesday the 19th (2).

The single time entry that was created today (Wednesday, March 19th) will only be visible to full access members after midnight (eg: 12:01AM) in the time entry creator's time zone on Thursday, March 20th.
